Global Warming and Why We Should Act Now

Global warming has and is being debated all around the world today. It is important to continue the discussion until the world realises that Global Warming is an issues that needs to be addresses TODAY. Global warming is not all about politics, it's about acting now to ensure we do not destroy our planet, this means we must stand together to voice our concerns.
The main causes of global warming are the release of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. This is happening on a large scale today by the burning of fossil fuels, land clearing and agriculture. The air temperature has increased by 1.33 degrees Fahrenheit during the last 100 year ending 2005.Global warming is researched by a governing body called the IPCC, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change. The IPCC was set up to increase the world's knowledge about man-made climate change and to implement measure to counter act these issues.
Most governments today have signed a protocol called the Kyoto Protocol. The Kyoto Protocol was set up to ensure countries try and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. This Protocol was set up on the 11th December 1997 and was enforced on the 16th February 2005. 182 parties have ratified this protocol.
The increase of the global temperature will cause the sea levels to rise; this will impact and increase the extreme weather patterns. Global warming has already been shown to be taking effect in the Polar Regions were massive Ice lands have began to melt at a very rapid rate.
We should act now so our future generations do not suffer and of course we don't suffer today. We can all do something about it today. Act Now.
